Sales Manager

What We Need
Our Headquarters is located in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking to recruit a Sales Manager. Reporting directly to the President, the selected candidate will be responsible for driving the national sales strategy, business plans and directions for all software products and consulting services. He/she will set up and manage a group of marketing professionals who will be responsible for online demand generation, forecasting, pricing, promotions and the end to end purchasing experience. Being a proactive business partner, this position will be in charge of developing the country by country strategies to grow the e-commerce business. He/she will develop strategic relationships and/or negotiate contracts with third party companies which my enhance the content, technology or marketing value of our product and service offerings.
 
What You Need
A minimum of 5 years of previous e-commerce leadership experience – preferably some experience with a manufacturer website.
Ability to demonstrate previous success in compounded growth and profitability in managing a business
Previous experience and knowledge in managing a P&L, and ability to create, track and manage a detailed bottoms up budget (by product level addressing targets for all core metrics, rolling up to country/regional plan)
Previous management oversight in fulfillment logistics and legal agreements for e-commerce
Previous experience in web analytics
Previous experience in building and managing a team, both from a direct report structure and dotted line structure
University degree in Business or Marketing. A MBA degree could be considered as a valuable asset to fulfill the role successfully
Ability to generate detailed business analysis, market projections, ROI scenarios
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 
About The Position
Managing all elements of P&L including implementing plans to reach corporate growth and profitability objectives for e-commerce
Developing and implementing promotional plans and budget to support quarterly sales budget
Hiring and management of Sales Personnel.
Managing the online customer acquisition plan (e.g. affiliate marketing, SEM, SEO) to ensure targets are achieved for average order size, conversion and traffic goals
Managing the monthly forecast for all products for the business to business e-commerce channel
Producing and publishing the weekly, monthly and quarterly recaps of the business performance versus plan report
Building and developing a team to successfully manage the business to obtain the necessary support to achieve quarterly results
Developing the business development partnerships critical to obtaining the quarterly growth objectives
Defining and implementing the relationship marketing program to retain customers and increase life time value

Compensation
This is a senior level position
Target income is >$100K/year
You will be the Business Development Partner in charge of all sales
Compensation will be based on your sales success
The successful candidate will have an equity component to their compensation
